ARBORIST TRAINING COURSES are delivered to give the candidate the knowledge & practical skills to achieve certificates of competence by assessment by bodies such as NPTC City & Guilds.
Tree surgery courses teach candidates the skills on how to become a tree surgeon, starting with how to climb a tree, using a rope & harness course to perform aerial rescues and advanced chainsaw techniques to become and Arborist,
Awarded certificates of competence are widely recognised by both sector employers and the health & safety executive.
Pre awards to these courses maybe Cs30, Cs 31
The training looks at the skills & knowledge required to take the operator into the tree leaving the ground for the first time, using a body safety harness & rope system to teach the skills needed for those wishing enter the commercial world of Arboriculture or Tree surgery.as an Arborist - Tree Surgeon

- Nptc Cs39 Aerial Use of a chainsaw free fall cut techniques
- Nptc Cs40 Tree pruning operations
- Nptc Cs41 Tree Dismantling Rope techniques
- Nptc Cs48 Use of Chainsaw from a Cherry picker
These courses can be run concurrently though they must be achieved in sequence ie chainsaw unit CS39
requires the pre award of units Cs 30 Cs31 and Cs 38.
Academic study packages including distance learning are scheduled to come on line in 2014.
