Personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identification of faults and defects on a powered pole pruning saw.
Routine operator maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction book.
Prepare the pruning saw for use with the correct fuel / oil mix and chainsaw chain lubrication.
Carry out pre-operation safety checks and state the procedures if the pruner fails these.
Carry out maintenance and operation tasks.
Assess and explain the terms ‘tension’ and ‘compression’ in timber.
Perform suitable techniques.
Organise site safety.
The procedures required and complete a risk assessment.
